The Centennial Firm: The One And Only Supporters Group of the Colorado Rapids Major League Soccer Club. Born in 2005 to pull together all the people willing to get off their behinds and stand for the Colorado Rapids, The Centennial Firm is one of the last great traditions of the Colorado Rapids. We are the current incarnation of past supporter groups such as the River Ratz, and we are the largest contingent standing in The Front Range, the Colorado Rapids' only official supporter club. We are here to stay! We are an active organization for the Rapids and in the Denver community. We urge you to join our ranks in section 100, where all the action and all the atmosphere are. Being part of the Centennial Firm is something special; while we look to the players for inspiration, the players also look to us for the same. When the players speak of supporters, they mean us: The Centennial Firm.
Who are we?
Passion is the tie that binds us. Whether rain, snow or shine, Thursday or Saturday, if the Rapids are here you will hear the beat of the drums booming from The Front Range. Clad in the team's colors we provided the atmosphere for the soccer moms while sometimes making a controversial spectacle of ourselves. Regardless of the Rapids current losing trend or scoreless draws, there will always be the C-Firm chanting and drinking in the south end of the stadium. Away games, if we ain’t representing ourselves on the road, then look for us at the British Bulldog (the official viewing party location of the C-Firm) or other Rapids viewing party venues.
What do we do?
During the MLS campaign, we hold EPIC tailgates (maybe that’s stretching it a little) in our little realm of the parking lot. Traveling to away games with a C-Firm legion is of course an objective of ours. If we can’t travel, then viewing parties are the next best thing. Not just for Rapids games, but for the U.S Team as well. Sometimes, if the moment/teams are right, we don’t hold any official gatherings so to speak, but a couple of members will congregate with a few pints and watch some European Football. Celtic and Champions League games usually fit the bill. During World Cup '06 we downed many a 7 a.m. pint at the Bulldog.
And lest ye think all we do is watch footy and drink draughts, we also do what we can to support local charities. For the 2008 season, we will be partnering with Denver SCORES. Stay tuned for details on how you can help.
Why should you join The Centennial Firm?
The C-Firm is THE Supporter Club for the Rapids. Why join? The real question is why not? It is a place where you are welcome and more importantly wanted. Viewing parties, tailgates, road trips are all functions of the C-Firm. It is important to note that the only way to enjoy all the benefits and privileges of C-Firm membership, you must be a half-season or full-season ticket holder. Nowhere else in the stadium will you be allowed to stand and chant and sing all game long.
